Which material is best for cable tags?
For hang tags, 1.6mm 2-colour acrylic is rigid and takes mounting holes, and 0.5mm coated aluminium is engraved through the coating to bright aluminium for a hard-wearing mark. Printed vinyl suits adhesive labels where you need full-colour or high-volume identification.
Can cable labels be numbered or carry barcodes and QR codes?
Yes. Sequential numbering, barcodes and QR codes are available for inspection and test regimes. Use the online builder for numbered runs, or our Excel order templates for bulk text, sequential numbering and barcodes.
Can vinyl labels go directly on cables?
Our vinyl is intended for surface identification only and is not suitable for direct application to exposed conductors or internal wires. The adhesive needs a clean, dry, degreased surface above 10°C and reaches full bond after 24 hours.

Is there a minimum order for cable labels?
No minimum quantity. One-off replacements and full sets are both fine.
What laminate options are there for vinyl labels?
Gloss laminate, matte laminate, no laminate, or an epoxy dome finish. Laminate is recommended wherever abrasion or chemicals are expected.
